I took my .40 cal shield and this .357 Sig conversion barrel to the range yesterday to try it out. I shot my gun in stock .40 cal first and my point of impact was dead on both by iron sights and laser. I didn't expect the .357 Sig barrel to print exactly the same as my stock barrel but I want to see how much difference there was between the two. I fired 250 rounds getting the barrel broken in and from the first shot to the last the 7 yard groups were about 8 inches of spread! Holy smokes this is unbelievable! I switched back to the stock barrel and my accuracy was back to consistent bullseye's at 7 yards. For those that are going to it's shooter error.... hogwash! The .357 Sig was no punchier in my ported Shield that it is with.40 cal also I am no stranger to heavy recoiling firearms and also shot my compact 10mm auto which is my regular carry gun and also another subcompact.40 cal and I also hunt frequently with my full size 10mm, .454 Casull and other heavy recoiling firearms.
