3 of 5 Excellent value, minor machining error October 28, 2018

I have only (2) complaints on an otherwise very well executed slide. First was the order was made in June and production issues caused manufacturing delays til Late October. I had no immediate need for the component so a small delay wasn't a problem,  but when it extended to several months, I had concerns. Second, the rear dovetail for my Bomar sight was cut oversize by some .020 inches. The sight I have is an original Bomar with a horizontal tritium bar on the blade. Unless Bomar had changed their specs over the years, this should have required some fitting to press the sight in. I found it necessary to make a .020 shim to ride in the forward angle of the dovetail to keep the sight tight and held low in the dovetail otherwise the sight sat so high that the bottom edge of the adjustment leaf was above the top of the slide by almost .030inch. Other than these issues, the slide is very tight toleranced and is excellently machined. This slide completes an ODI Viking rebuild project.
